SEARCY – The Harding women's basketball team made 14 3-pointers as they went onto defeat Ecclesia 83-40 on Saturday night in the Rhodes Field House. The Lady Bisons improved to 5-2 on the season.

Harding's 3-pointers tied for second in school history. The last time the Lady Bisons made 14 3-pointers in a game was at Lincoln in 2006. Harding's previous season high was 10 at Lambuth earlier this season. The Lady Bisons broke the mark with little over seven minutes remaining in the game when freshman forward Kristen Celsor made her only 3-pointer on the night.

Other than hitting 3-pointers, Harding had a good shooting night hitting 25-of-52 from the field. Eight Harding players shot over 50 percent from the field in the game.

The Lady Bisons were led by senior guard Bailey St. Clair who had 15 points and nine rebounds. St. Clair hit 5-of-7 from the field, including 3-of-4 from behind the 3-point line. Celsor was the other Lady Bison in double-figure scoring as she ended with 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Harding defense forced 31 turnovers in the game. It was the third time this season, the Lady Bisons have forced 30 or more turnovers in a game. Harding scored 36 points off the Ecclesia turnovers.

The Lady Bisons defense also didn't allow any Ecclesia player to score double-figures in the game. Junior forward Kayla Chambers led the Royals with nine points.

Harding will be back in action next Friday, Dec. 17 as they take on Alabama-Huntsville at 5:30 p.m., at the Rhodes Field House.
