PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The Harding men's tennis team made it two straight to open the season with a 6-1 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on the road. The Bisons opened the season a week earlier with a 6-3 triumph over Arkansas-Fort Smith.

UAPB (0-1) had only five players and forfeited No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.

Harding (2-0) won the two remaining doubles matches, with the No. 2 team of Alex Ford and Caleb McReynolds winning their second straight.

The Bisons also won four of the five remaining singles matches. McReynolds, who won in three sets, Jon Mark Rowden and Henrique Ruiz improved to 2-0 with their victories. UAPB's only point came at No. 5, where Nicolas Plaza defeated Helio Hashimoto 6-1, 6-4.

Harding improved to 17-1 all-time against UAPB and won its fourth straight.

The Bisons have two fall matches remaining on the schedule. Harding meets Christian Brothers on Oct. 4 in Memphis and hosts Hendrix on Oct. 6.
