SEARCY – Harding men's tennis won its 19th straight match to start the season and its third over a Division I opponent with a 9-0 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday at the Harding Tennis Courts.

Harding is now 19-0 overall and 6-0 in home matches.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff had only five players and lost No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles by default.

Harding won the two remaining doubles matches, both closely contested. The Bisons' No. 1 team of Kittibodee Singnil and Jon Mark Rowden trailed 7-6 and were down a break before rallying to win the last three games and take a 9-7 victory. The duo is unbeaten in nine doubles matches this season.

Adam Edwards and Caleb McReynolds battled to an 8-6 victory at No. 2 doubles and improved to 3-0 as a team.

Harding won all five remaining singles matches in straight sets. Singnil remained perfect at 9-0 at No. 1 singles, and Rowden improved to 12-0 at No. 2 singles.

Henrique Ruiz won his fifth straight and improved to 11-1 with a victory at No. 3. Alex Ford won his ninth singles match of the season with a victory at No. 4, and Helio Hashimoto won his 10th straight singles match with a victory at No. 5.

Harding is now 102-9 in singles matches this season and 53-4 in doubles.

Harding's next match is its Great American Conference opener. The Bisons will travel to Ada, Okla., to meet East Central, the No. 9-ranked team in the NCAA Division II South Central Region, on Friday.
