Harding Softball Falls to Southeastern Oklahoma in Late Night Game

BENTONVILLE, Ark. – The Harding softball team fell to No. 1 seed Southeastern Oklahoma 3-1 on Friday in the second round of the Great American Conference Tournament. The game started at 11 p.m., and finished at 12:30 a.m. The No. 4 seed Lady Bisons will play the No. 7 seed Arkansas-Monticello at 11 a.m., on Friday in an elimination game at the Tiger Athletic Complex.

Harding falls to 32-25 overall and Southeastern Oklahoma improves to 37-15 overall.

The Lady Bisons scored first in the top of the fifth when Brookelynn Moon scored on a Savage Storm throwing error. Southeastern Oklahoma answered back in the bottom of the inning scoring two on a sacrifice bunt and a sacrifice fly.

The Savage Storm scored their final run in the sixth after lead-off batter Sydney Kramer tripled and then scored.

Southeastern Oklahoma held Harding to only two hits in the game.

Mindy McElroy (23-7) got the win for the Savage Storm, throwing a complete game. Amber Rollins (18-12) got the loss for Harding, pitching five innings. Rollins gave up four hits and struck out four.
