The Harding softball team will travel to Bethany, Oklahoma this weekend to take on Southern Nazarene in a four-game Great American Conference series. The games were scheduled to be played in Searcy but due to weather the series was moved. The Lady Bisons will open the series on Sunday in a doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m., and then wrap up the series on Monday at 11 a.m.
Harding is 8-4 in true road games this season and are 13-7 away from its home field.
Harding Team Notes:
Harding is 4-1 in its last five games. The Lady Bisons are coming off a 3-1 series win at Oklahoma Baptist and then split at Missouri S&T in non-conference action on Monday. Brookelynn Moon led Harding against Oklahoma Baptist with a .636 batting average. She had seven hits, a home run, four RBIs and four runs scored. Hannah Johnson led the Lady Bisons in the circle with a 2.10 ERA and a 2-0 record in two appearances.
Harding is hitting .334 to rank third in the GAC. Junior outfielder Brookelynn Moon leads the Lady Bisons and ranks fourth in the GAC with a .451 batting average.
Kimmy Hendricks leads the GAC in RBIs with 30. Hendricks is hitting .278 with 20 hits, three homeruns (all grand slams) and 16 runs scored. Mackenzie Jones ranks second in the GAC in RBIs with 26. The two hitters have combined for 56 of Harding's 142 RBIs this season.
Junior Courtney Derrick and freshman Peyton Mills rank tied for third in the GAC in runs scored with 22.
Peyton Mills leads the GAC in walks drawn with 20. She has a .500 on base percentage to lead the Lady Bisons.
Harding ranks first in the GAC and 12th in NCAA Division II in stolen bases with 68. Courtney Derrick ranks second with 17 and Peyton Mills and Kinsey Beck rank tied for third with 12.
Harding ranks eighth in the GAC with a 3.63 team ERA. Junior Hannah Johnson leads the Lady Bisons with a 2.40 ERA and an 8-1 record.
Harding has hit 15 home runs this season to rank tied for fourth in the GAC. Of the Lady Bisons 15 home runs, five have been grand slams and Harding has had a least two runners on during nine of the home runs.
Brookelynn Moon heads into the weekend with a 16 game hitting streak. It is the second longest streak this season and the second longest in school history. Kinsey Beck set the school record of 19 earlier this season.

The Crimson Storm is led on the season by Hannah LeBeau who is hitting .320. In 50 at bats she has 16 hits, one double, one triple, three home runs and four runs scored.
