The Harding softball team will travel to Durant, Oklahoma this weekend to take on Southeastern Oklahoma in a four game Great American Conference series starting Saturday with a doubleheader at noon. The two teams will wrap up its series on Sunday in a doubleheader starting at noon. The series was scheduled to be played Friday and Saturday but due to weather the series was pushed back.
Harding is 11-5 in true road games this season and are 16-8 away from its home field.
Harding Team Notes:
Harding is coming off a 3-1 Great American Conference series win at Southern Nazarene last weekend. The series was scheduled to be played in Searcy but due to weather the series was moved to Southern Nazarene. The Lady Bisons were led on the weekend by Kinsey Beck who went 6-for-12 with three doubles and five RBIs. Ashley Smith led Harding in circle with a 0.81 ERA and a 2-0 record in two appearances.
Harding is hitting .331 to rank third in the GAC. Senior Kinsey Beck leads the Lady Bisons and ranks second in the GAC, hitting .452.
Kimmy Hendricks leads the GAC in RBIs with 32. Hendricks is hitting .282 with 24 hits, four homeruns (three grand slams) and 18 runs scored. Mackenzie Jones ranks second in the GAC in RBIs with 27. The two hitters have combined for 59 RBIs this season.
Freshman Peyton Mills ranks tied for first in the GAC in runs scored with 27.
Peyton Mills leads the GAC in walks drawn with 21. She has a .506 on base percentage to lead the Lady Bisons.
Harding ranks first in the GAC and fourth in NCAA Division II in stolen bases with 86 (3.31 per game). Courtney Derrick ranks second in the GAC with 19, Peyton Mills ranks third with 18 and Kinsey Beck ranks fifth with 14.
Harding ranks first in the GAC in runs scored (178), hits (258), RBIs (159), doubles (38) and stolen bases (86).
