Harding Men's Tennis Defeats NCAA Division I Arkansas-Pine Bluff

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Harding men's tennis won the doubles point and five of six singles matches to defeat NCAA Division I opponent Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday.

The win pushed Harding over the .500 mark for the season, up to 8-7 overall. Arkansas-Pine Bluff fell to 5-23.

Playing under Division I rules, where doubles counts as only one point, Harding clinched the point with wins in two of the matches. Neto Cacace and Pablo Trevino won 6-3 at No. 2, and Adria Abella and Brandon Hogland won 6-1 at No. 3.

Harding won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. After the Bisons picked up wins from Abella (No. 3) and Carlos Crisostomo (No. 1), Harding clinched the match with a 6-4, 7-6 victory from Cacace at No. 4.

Crisostomo's singles win was his 13th overall and his ninth dual singles victory, both team bests.

Harding will play Wednesday against Arkansas-Fort Smith on the road and will meet Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday at 11 a.m. The winner of the Harding-Oklahoma Baptist match will win the regular season Great American Conference championship.
