Ken Wearden Hired as Harding Softball Assistant Coach

SEARCY – The Harding athletics department announced the hiring of Ken Wearden as Harding's assistant softball coach Wednesday for the 2019 season.

Wearden, 57, comes to Harding from Lubbock, Texas, where he has been the assistant softball coach at Lubbock Christian University since 2016. Wearden was also the assistant softball coach at Lubbock Christian School from 2012-15.

Wearden played college baseball at York College and Oklahoma Christian, where he graduated in 1985.

Harding softball will be in its sixth season in 2019. The Lady Bisons, under head coach Phil Berry, have had four winning seasons in their first five years, including a 32-26 record last season.
