RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Harding volleyball team had four players named All-Great American Conference Wednesday, including Logan Smith on the first team, Libby Hinton on the second team. Kelli McKinnon and Sarah Morehead were honorable mention.
Harding also had players recognized for their work in the classroom. Katie Dather and Annesly Young received the GAC Elite Scholar Athlete award and Katherine Cowart received the GAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete award.
Logan Smith, a freshman from Kopperl, Texas, led Harding by averaging 3.46 kills per set, third in the GAC. She also averaged 3.39 digs per set.
Libby Hinton, a freshman from Glen Rose, Texas, averaged 2.63 kills per set. She leads the team with a .279 hitting percentage. Hinton ranks third in the GAC in blocks, averaging 1.23 per set.
Kelli McKinnon, a freshman from Trophy Club, Texas, averaged 2.55 kills per set and averaged 0.78 blocks per set.
Sarah Morehead, a freshman from Aledo, Texas, ranks third in the GAC, averaging 9.48 assists per set. She also averaged 2.34 digs per set.
The Lady Bisons, the No. 6 seed, will open the GAC Tournament Thursday at noon against No. 3 seed Southwestern Oklahoma. Coverage links can be found on HardingSports.com
