Salvan, Cox Named GAC Tennis Players of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the league's Players of the Week awards for the opening weekend of the 2019 tennis season. Harding's Morgan Salvan earned the Men's honor and the Lady Bisons' Rylie Cox claimed the Women's award.

GAC MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Morgan Salvan, Harding, So., Millau, France
Salvan went a perfect 6-0 between his singles and doubles contests in helping the Bisons pick up four wins during the opening weekend. He tallied three straight-set singles victory, all from the No. 4 slot. In doubles play, he paired with Alejandro Sendra for wins against Dallas Baptist and Texas Permian Basin as Harding's No. 1 team.

GAC WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Rylie Cox, Harding, Jr., Rockwall, Texas
Cox picked up four wins from the No. 1 singles position and a pair of victories at the No. 1 doubles spot with partner Lindy Carpenter. She dominated her singles' opponents as she did not drop a single set. She won 49 of the 64 games played. She helped the Lady Bisons open 3-1 with wins against Dallas Baptist, Texas-Permian Basin and Collin College.
