BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Harding men's tennis had four players receive All-Great American Conference honors Thursday as the conference released its postseason awards.

Freshman Arthur Bellan of Ramonville, France, sophomore Morgan Salvan of Millau, France, and junior Alejandro Sendra of Valencia, Spain, each earned first-team All-GAC. Junior Luis Tirado of La Paz, Bolivia, earned second-team honors.

Bellan played in Harding's top three singles positions and compiled a 12-7 record that included two victories over nationally ranked opponents.

Salvan is 39-10 in singles in his two-year Harding career and has a team-best 16-5 singles record this season. He has won eight of nine singles matches at No. 4 and defeated two regionally ranked opponents. Salvan is one-half of Harding's top doubles team. He and Sendra are 19th nationally in Division II.

Sendra, a second-team honoree in 2017, recently won his 20th career match at Harding and has played either No. 1 or No. 2 singles this season. He has two wins over regionally ranked opponents and a victory over Washburn's Alejandro Plaza, then the 13th-ranked player in Division II.

Sendra, a senior academically, earned the GAC's Distinguished Scholar Athlete Award for the second consecutive year with a 3.85 GPA in exercise science.

Tirado enters the GAC Tournament as Harding's hottest player, winning his last four matches and ranking second on the team with 13 singles victories. He has earned second-team honors in each of his first two seasons.

Ranked 40th nationally, Harding's season continues Friday at the GAC Tournament. Seeded fourth, the Bisons will take on No. 1 seed and 28th-ranked Southern Arkansas at 10:30 a.m. in Bentonville, Arkansas. Southern Arkansas won the regular season meeting between the teams 4-2 on April 2 in Magnolia.
