Zlatar, Ortiz Ranked in ITA Division II Top 10

SEARCY – Harding sophomore Teodor Zlatar and senior Dani Ortiz are both ranked in the top 10 in NCAA Division II men's tennis. The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its national and regional rankings Thursday with two Harding players in the top 10 nationally and three in the top 20 regionally.

Zlatar, a native of Ludbreg, Croatia, is ranked No. 3 nationally in singles and is the No. 1-ranked singles player in the Central Region. He won the ITA Central Regional singles championship and advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Cup. He posted a 12-3 singles record during the fall.

Ortiz, a native of Santiago, Chile, is ranked No. 7 nationally in singles and No. 2 in the Central Region. He was the ITA Central Region runner up and reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Cup. Ortiz was 10-4 in singles play in the fall.

Cas de Ruiter, a sophomore from Gouda, Netherlands, is ranked No. 11 in Central Region singles. He posted an 8-2 record in the fall and reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Central Region Tournament.
