Cade Pugh Named D2CCA Second Team All-America

SEARCY – Harding senior safety Cade Pugh earned Second Team All-America honors Wednesday from the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association. Pugh was named honorable mention All-American in 2021 by the Don Hansen Football Committee.

Pugh, a native of Helena, Alabama, led Harding with 8.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and eight pass breakups, adding 45 tackles and a forced fumble.

Pugh is the 10th Harding player to earn All-America honors from D2CCA (formerly Daktronics) since the school joined the NCAA in 1997. The others were linebacker Tim Polk (2002), tight end David Feliciano (2004), defensive back Robert Towns (2006), defensive back Josh Jones (2009), offensive lineman Tory Day (2014), linebacker Sam Blankenship (2017), offensive lineman Gavin De Los Santos (2017), running back Cole Chancey (2021) and offensive lineman Sam Wilson (2021).
