RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the Baseball Weekly awards for the seventh week of the 2022 season. Ouachita'a Wyatt Core garnered Player of the Week and Harding's Carter McCall claimed Pitcher of the Week.

GAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Wyatt Core, Ouachita, RF, Fr., Fayetteville, Arkansas

Core hit .444 with four home runs and 10 RBI as the Tigers picked up three wins. He went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a non-conference win against Christian Brother. Against Southwestern Oklahoma State, he tallied seven hits in the series with three home runs and eight RBI. He recorded a multi-home-run game in the opener.

GAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Carter McCall, Harding, SP, Sr., St. Charles, Missouri

McCall kept Oklahoma Baptist off the scoreboard during his start on Saturday. Across 7.1 innings of work, his longest start of the season, he limited the Bison offense, which entered the series as the national leader in home runs, to six singles and a double. He opened the game by retiring the first nine batters. He finished with four strikeouts.
