11th-Ranked Harding Men's Track Wins Rhodes 7-Way Meet

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Here is a summary of the 11th-ranked Harding men's track performance Saturday at the Rhodes 7-Way Meet:

Harding won the meet with 195 points, defeating Mississippi College (185), Rhodes (119), Christian Brothers (65), Hendrix (57), and Millsaps (36).
Harding won five events: Dakarai Bush in the 200 meters (21.44 seconds), Savian Bush in the 110 hurdles (14.56 seconds), Vlad Malykhin in the pole vault (5.31 meters or 17 feet, 5 inches), Casen Hammitt in the javelin (55.77 meters or 183 feet) and the 4x100 relay (41.52 seconds).
Vlad Malykhin's mark in the pole vault was Harding's lone NCAA provisional. It matches Malykhin's top clearance of the season and ranks fourth in Division II.
Kelmen de Carvalho also competed in the decathlon at the Carl Kight Invitational in Nacogdoches, Texas. He placed second with 6,348 points.
