Harding Women's Tennis Picked Second in GAC Preseason Poll

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Harding University's women's tennis team has been picked to finish second in the Great American Conference preseason poll, released Tuesday.

The Lady Bisons received 24 points, just one point ahead of Southeastern Oklahoma State. Southern Arkansas was unanimously chosen as the preseason favorite, receiving all five first-place votes.

Harding returns several key players, including 2024 First-Team All-GAC selection Karli Roux, who enters her junior season. Sofia Sarmiento Ruiz and Alexia Zarate Valdez, both Second-Team All-GAC selections as freshmen last season, also return. Zarate Valdez went 8-3 in the fall and finished the fall ranked 14th nationally.

The Lady Bisons begin their regular season on January 31, hosting McNeese State.
