ROME, Ga. (AP) — The Harding women's doubles pairing of Karli Roux and Brooke Coffman fell Saturday in the North consolation bracket semifinals at the ITA Cup, ending their chance to compete for fifth place.

Roux and Coffman, a Central Region qualifying duo, were defeated in a tight three-set battle by Yona Bancarel and Natalia Gorzny of UT Tyler. After taking the first set 6-4, the Lady Bisons dropped the second 6-3, before falling 10-6 in the decisive match-tiebreaker.

The loss places Roux and Coffman in the seventh-place match on Sunday. They will face the Midwest Region champions, Audrey Ouellet and Anamarija Kovacevic of Findlay, with the match time still to be determined.

The duo advanced to the consolation side of the bracket after falling to the tournament's No. 1 seeds in Friday's quarterfinals.
