Harding's Kmiecik Makes History with All-Central Region Honors

SEARCY – Harding women's golfer Sarah Kmiecik made history Friday by becoming the first Harding women's golfer to receive Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Division II All-Central Region honors.

A senior from Houston, Texas, Kmiecik capped off an impressive season with a school-record 74.2 stroke average in 25 rounds. Her outstanding performance earned her First Team All-Great American Conference honors. In 10 events this season, Kmiecik's consistency placed her in the top 10 six times and the top five four times. She also tied for first at the Arkansas Collegiate after shooting a 69 in the first round.

Before joining Harding, Kmiecik transferred from NCAA Division III Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas, where she was a two-time Division III All-American. With Harding's women's golf program established in 2005, Kmiecik's achievement marks a significant milestone.
