TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its updated NCAA Division II national rankings Wednesday, and the Harding women's tennis program reached a new milestone as senior Karli Roux and freshman Brooke Coffman vaulted to No. 4 in the nation in doubles.
The ascent marks the highest national ranking for a Harding duo in program history, as Roux and Coffman moved up one spot from last week's No. 5 position. The pair currently boasts a 12-4 record, anchoring the top of the Lady Bisons' lineup. They sit behind only top-ranked Nova Southeastern, Catawba, and Findlay in the national order.
Roux Maintains Top-50 Singles Status
In addition to her doubles success, Karli Roux continues to be recognized as one of the premier singles players in the country. Roux is ranked No. 44 nationally in the latest ITA singles poll.
A native of Cape Town, South Africa, Roux has posted an 8-3 record at the No. 1 singles flight this spring. Her resume is highlighted by a marquee straight-sets victory over UT Tyler's Yona Bancarel, who is currently ranked No. 11 in the nation. Roux remains the only representative from the Great American Conference in the national singles Top 75.
GAC Presence in National Rankings
Harding isn't the only GAC program represented in the latest national release. Southern Arkansas's tandem of Roksana Kokocha and Taylor Conway entered the doubles rankings at No. 39, while Southeastern Oklahoma State's Milana Voloshyn and Emilia O'Neill hold the No. 49 spot.
Upcoming Schedule: A Gauntlet of Ranked Foes
The Lady Bisons (2-4) face a brutal stretch of matches this week, taking on three nationally ranked opponents in four days.
