•    Harding concluded the 2013 regular season with an 8-2 overall record and an 8-2 mark in the Great American Conferece. The Bisons' eight conference wins were the most ever, breaking the record of seven in 2002 and 2012.

•    Harding has won 17 games over the last two seasons after finishing 9-2 in 2012 and 8-2 in 2013. It marks only the second time in program history that the Bisons have won 17 games over consecutive seasons, also reaching the mark in 1972 (10) and 1973 (7). Harding has never won 18 games over two seasons.

•    Harding is 296-297-18 all-time in college football. If the Bisons win the Live United Texarkana Bowl, the program will have a .500 record for the first time since its was 2-2-1 overall after the second game of the 1925 season, its second season of college football.

•    Harding has scored more than 20 points in all 10 games this season. The Bisons have never scored more than 20 points in ever game of a season.

•    Harding enters the game ranked third in Division II in both rushing offense (366.0 yards per game) and rushing defense (71.5 yards per game).

•    Harding has outscored its opponents 129-37 in the first quarter of games this season.

•    Harding has outscored its opponents 273-150 in the redzone. Harding has scored 38 touchdowns on 46 redzone trips, and Bison opponents have scored 18 touchdowns on 37 trips.

•    Harding will be playing in its third bowl game and its first since the 1976 San Jacinto Shrine Bowl in Pasadena, Texas. The Bisons also played in the 1972 Cowboy Bowl in Lawton, Okla.

•    Harding won the 1972 Cowboy Bowl 30-27 over Langston at Cameron Stadium in Lawton, Okla. Harding Athletics Hall of Famer Tom Ed Gooden kicked a 41-yard field goal with seven seconds remaining to win the game for the Bisons. Gooden, also Harding's quarterback, completed 12-of-23 passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns. Alan Dixon rushed for 132 yards on 23 carries, and Ted Walters caught two touchdown passes. The attendance listed on the official stat sheet: 350.

•    Harding lost 22-12 to Abilene Christian in the 1976 San Jacinto Shrine Bowl. Neither team scored after halftime. Harding Hall of Famer Joe David Smith rushed nine times for 39 yards and a 4-yard touchdown and caught three passes for 34 yards. Harding head coach Ronnie Huckeba started the game at guard for the Bisons.

•    Harding has also played in three postseason playoff games. The Bisons played in the NAIA Playoffs in 1989 (32-9 loss to Emporia St.) and 1992 (34-0 loss to Central St.). In 2012, Harding played in the NCAA Division II Playoffs (35-0 loss to Northwest Missouri St.).

•    Harding head coach Ronnie Huckeba played in the 1976 San Jacinto Shrine Bowl (started at guard), was the defensive line and linebackers coach for the 1989 and 1992 playoff games, and was the head coach for the 2012 playoff game.

•    Friday's game will be the latest in the calendar (Dec. 13) that Harding has ever played a football game.
