CABOT, Ark. – Harding senior Brittany Marquez followed a first round 83 with a second round 84 to finish tied for fifth at 23-over 167 at the UAM Fall Classic. The second round was played Tuesday at Greystone Golf Course.
It was Marquez's 13th career top-five finish, breaking the previous school record of 12 set by So-Yun Kim from 2009-13.
Harding finished fifth of six teams in the tournament with a score of 751. Lewis won the tournament at 650, 12 strokes ahead of second-place Henderson State.
Rachel Sweeney of Lewis was the individual medalist, winning with a score of 13-over 157.
Harding sophomore Charles Ann Freeman was next among Lady Bisons. She placed 23rd at 193 and had a team-high two birdies. Sophomore Loren Cheatham was 25th at 195, freshman Katelyn Walker tied for 28th at 201, and freshman Kaleigh Ramey finished 30th at 202.
The tournament was Harding's last of the fall.
