Lady Bisons Win 16 Events at Harding Invitational

SEARCY – Harding women's track and field hosted seven other teams in its first outdoor meet of the season Saturday at Ted Lloyd Track. The Lady Bisons won 16 of the 18 events at the Harding Invitational.

Three Harding athletes won two different events. Sophomore Briana Johnson won the 100 meters (12.19) and 200 meters (26.04). Sophomore Nieves Megias won the 1,500 meters (4:51.15) and 5,000 meters (17:58.80), and junior Cooper Monn won both the shot put (13.64m) and discus (44.24m).

Harding had two athletes post NCAA provisional marks. Junior Brylan Williams won the high jump with a clearance of 1.68 meters (5-6), and sophomore Sierra White won the pole vault with a provisional clearance of 3.80 meters (12-05.50).
