Akins Wins Heptathlon at Harding Multis

SEARCY – Harding senior Jenna Akins, won the heptathlon Friday at the Harding Multi, hosted at the Ted and Marcie Lloyd Track and Field Complex.

Akins, a native of Cumming, Georgia, scored an NCAA provisional 4,884 points in her first collegiate heptathlon, defeated three other competitors to win the competition.

Akins was the top competitor in five of the seven events and scored her highest point total in the 200 meters. She scored 905 points with a time of 24.80 seconds.
