SEARCY – Over the weekend, more than 30 members of the Harding women's outdoor track and field team showcased their talents at the Harding Invitational held at the new Ted and Marcie Lloyd Track and Field Complex.
The standout performances for the Lady Bisons included three NCAA provisional marks, one in the running events and two in the field events.
Sophomore Lisa Retailleau triumphed in the 400-meter hurdles with a provisional time of 1:00.39, just shy of her personal record of 1:00.20. Retailleau's time currently holds the second position in Division II.
Sophomore Karyna Vehner secured victory in the triple jump with a provisional mark of 12.05m (39-6.50), ranking as the third-best jump in Division II. Vehner also won the pole vault with a clearance of 3.46m (11-4.25).
The third provisional mark was achieved by senior Anna Kay Clark in the javelin. Her first throw reached 45.62m (149-8), marking the second-longest throw in D2.
Harding's other event triumphs came from Leila Ngapout (12.01, 100 meters; 25.05, 200 meters), Cassidy Graham (2:18.37, 800 meters), Josie Parks (4:47.94, 1,500 meters), Kylie Phillips (18:42.59, 5,000 meters), Kiera Blankinship (1.66m, 5-5.25, high jump), Emily Patterson (5.15m, 16-10.75, long jump), Kaylee Hausam (11.80m, 38-8.75, shot put; 42.94m, 140-10, discus), and Madison Hiteshew (44.07m, 144-7, hammer).
Harding's next competition is scheduled for the Ole Miss Classic on Mar. 22-23 in Oxford, Mississippi.
