15th-ranked Harding Women's Track Breaks Two School Records

SEARCY – The No. 15-ranked Harding women's track and field team competed in two in-state meets over the weekend, the John McDonnell Invitational at the University of Arkansas and the ASU Alumni Classic at Arkansas State University.

The highlights at the John McDonnell Invitational:

Freshman Omolara Ogunmakinju placed third in the 400 meters in an NCAA provisional 51.90 seconds, breaking her own school record and setting the top time in Division II this season.
Sophomore Cella Nguema placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in an NCAA provisional time of 14.00 seconds. Her season-best time of 13.73 ranks sixth in Division II.
Sophomore Lisa Retailleau placed third in the 400-meter hurdles in an NCAA provisional 1:00.08, breaking the Harding record of 1:00.11, set by Anne-Noelle Clerima in 2022. It was also the seventh-fastest time in Division II this season.
Sophomore Josie Parks placed second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a season-best time of 11:04.90.

The highlights at the ASU Alumni Classic:

Sophomore Karyna Vehner won the triple jump with a mark of 11.71m (38-5).
Senior Kaylee Hausam was third in the discus with a mark of 44.20m (145-0).
Junior Sydney Soto was second in the javelin with a throw of 32.55m (106-9).
