Harding Men's Track and Field Posts 10 Provisionals at Bison Open

SEARCY – The No. 3-ranked Harding men's track and field team competed Saturday at the Bison Open at the Ted and Marcie Lloyd Track and Field Complex. Below are the highlights of the meet for Harding's men.

RUNNING EVENTS
  • Senior Dakarai Bush won the 200 meters in an NCAA provisional time of 21.17.
  • Senior Tiag Campney won the 800 meters in 1:55.40.
  • Sophomore Arnaud des Boscs won the 1,500 meters in 3:55.93 … his time set a new track record.
  • Freshman Josphat Meli won the 5,000 meters in an NCAA provisional time of 13:53.94 … his time set a new track record and broke the school record of 13:58.86, set by Harding Hall of Famer Daniel Kirwa in 2010.
  • Junior Savian Bush won the 110-meter hurdles in an NCAA provisional time of 13.92 seconds … his time set a new track record.
  • Sophomore Noah Haileab won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:37.43.
RELAY EVENTS FIELD EVENTS
  • Junior Antiwain Jones won the high jump with an NCAA provisional clearance of 2.19m (7-2.25).
  • Sophomore Vlad Malykhin won the pole vault with an NCAA provisional clearance of 5.57m (18-3.25).
  • Freshman Lukas Stiper won the discus with an NCAA provisional mark of 52.92m (173-7) and junior Spencer Helms was second with an NCAA provisional mark of 52.75m (173-1) … both marks were new track records.
  • Sophomore Casen Hammitt won the men's javelin with an NCAA provisional mark of 60.79m (199-5) … the mark set a new track record.
