Three Women's Track Records Fall at Bison Open

SEARCY – The No. 9-ranked Harding women's track and field team competed Saturday at the Bison Open at the Ted and Marcie Lloyd Track and Field Complex. Below are the highlights of the meet for Harding's women.

RUNNING EVENTS

Freshman Omolara Ogunmakinju won the 400 meters in an NCAA provisional 52.50 seconds … her time broke the track record and the previous school record of 54.44 seconds, set by Portia Bell in 2013.
Freshman Cassidy Graham won the 800 meters in 2:15.20 … her time set a new track record.
Sophomore Cella Nguema won the 100-meter hurdles in an NCAA provisional 13.73 seconds … her time broke her own school record of 14.01 seconds, set earlier this season … her time set a new track record.
Sophomore Lisa Retailleau won the 400-meter hurdles in an NCAA provisional 1:00.86.
Sophomore Josie Parks won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:15.61.

RELAY EVENTS

Harding's team of Lisa Retailleau, Cassidy Graham, Jenna Akins, and Omolara Ogunmakinju won the 4x400-meter relay with an NCAA provisional time of 3:44.59 … the time broke the track record and previous school record of 3:46.97, set in 2013.

FIELD EVENTS

Sophomore Cadence Sansom won the pole vault with an NCAA provisional clearance of 3.80m (12-5.5).
Sophomore Karyna Vehner was second in the triple jump with an NCAA provisional mark of 12.09m (39-8).
Senior Anna Kay Clark won the javelin with an NCAA provisional mark of 44.27m (145-3) … her mark set a new track record.
